Our favourite people to smoke weed with

Shall I smoke weed alone, or not smoke weed alone? This question has been debated throughout the ages and arguably as many people enjoy sampling cannabis by themselves, as those who like partaking in groups.

Still, much like alcohol or cigarettes, the idea of smoking weed in numbers is certainly appealing.

Furthermore, we’re sure just about everyone has their ideal dream team of celebrities and individuals who they would love to share a joint with.

While we’re greatly interested in hearing about who you’d like to do this with, we have created our own top ten list below. They all sound like high-larious people!

10. Seth Rogen

Filmmaker, actor, and comedian Seth Rogan is an interesting character anyway. Undoubtedly, he’d be an absolute laugh in just about any situation. However, this marijuana user and stoner icon makes the list because of a brilliant anecdote about his wedding day – where he was high throughout the ceremony:

Appearing on The Howard Stern show in 2011, it seems cannabis allowed him to deal with his wedding day nerves:

"I didn't get drunk, but I was totally f***ing baked the whole day”.
“There were probably 100 people smoking weed there".

Sounds like one hell of a ceremony.

9. Whoopi Goldberg

A legendary actress and comedian, Whoopi Goldberg has appeared in a range of movies over the years. An amazing personality who seems to brighten up any room, you know she’d be great to enjoy a joint with.

Furthermore, according to an article in E magazine, she was actually under the influence of marijuana when she won her Best Supporting Actress Award.

"And I thought, 'I've got to relax,'” she stated. "So I smoked this wonderful joint that was the last of my home-grown."

And…we’re guessing smoking weed and then getting up to collect an award wasn’t the best idea. Be interesting to see how it all turned out.

8. Morgan Freeman

Partly due to his smooth voice and wonderful charm, I’m pretty sure everybody wants to hang out with Morgan Freeman. However, did you know that he is also a supporter of marijuana? According to an interview with the Guardian, Morgan stated that he’ll “Never give up the ganja”.

Sounds like he’d be interested in a smoke!

7.Cameron Diaz

With a filmography as long as your arm, Cameron Diaz is surely a must at any celebrity gathering. However, what separates her from many of the other Hollywood actors and actresses is that it’s quite likely she purchased marijuana from none other than Snoop Dogg himself:

In an interview published on E Magazine, Cameron states "We went to high school together, (Snoop Dogg) was a year older than me. He was very tall and skinny and wore lots of ponytails in his hair and I'm pretty sure I got weed from him. I had to have!"

Doubtless, she’s got some interesting stories to tell.

6. Oprah Winfrey

It’d be interesting just to be in the same room as Oprah Winfrey to hear about her experiences as a talk show host and philanthropist. According to an interview on Watch What Happens Live, the star also admitted that the last time she smoked marijuana was in 1982.

Bit of a long time ago you might think, but it seems Oprah got back in the habit following the interview. When the interviewer stated “Let’s hang out after the show”, Oprah added, “Okay.” “I hear it’s gotten better.”

Well, Oprah, you’re not wrong.

5. Kirsten Dunst

An outspoken marijuana advocate, actress Kirsten Dunst has tackled the issue of marijuana previously. Speaking to Britain Live magazine, she stated that “If everyone smoked weed, the world would be a better place."

She also added that America’s views on marijuana legislation were “ridiculous”.

Well, this might certainly explain why she agreed to play the part of Mary Jane in Spiderman.

4. Stephen King

One of our favourite horror authors, not too many people realise that Stephen King used to be a marijuana smoker. However, he still supports legalisation and feels it would be good in his local state.
Speaking to the High Times, Stephen stated that he didn’t “smoke very much marijuana at all anymore”. However, he added:

“I think that marijuana should not only be legal, I think it should be a cottage industry. It would be wonderful for the state of Maine. There's some pretty good homegrown dope. I'm sure it would be even better if you could grow it with fertilizers and have greenhouses.”

3. Woody Harrelson

Woody Harrelson is no stranger to tackling political issues. In the past, he’s worn hemp clothing and climbed redwood trees to protest logging. He’s also been previously arrested for planting hemp seeds.
Also an accomplished actor, who incidentally appeared in the modern classic Zombieland, it would be an absolute pleasure to share a joint with him.

2. Johnny Depp

A modern icon, Johnny Depp has played a variety of different roles over the years but is arguably most famous for his portrayal of Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean. While it would be great to have a conversation with this man and his varied career, we’re sure he’d be interested in partaking.

According to Celeb Stoner, Johnny Depp has gone on the record as saying that he’s “not a great pothead or anything like that” but added that “weed is much, much less dangerous than alcohol."

A view which we wish was shared by more people in society.

1. Barrack Obama

We’ve touched on a lot of legal and political issues here, so it makes sense to invite the most powerful man in the country. However, it’s much more than that. Whereas some politicians have dodged the question of marijuana or skirted around the issue, Obama tackled it straight on when he was asked about cannabis:

"When I was a kid, I inhaled." He stated, adding “That was the point.”

Even if he’s not a great marijuana supporter, you’ve got to respect him for doing that.
