Overview
A native of California, Zkittlez is an indica heavy hybrid descended from the Grapefruit and Grape Ape strains. Measured THC levels can vary wildly from as low as 15% all the way up to 23%, though with stabilization our example will fall between 18-21%. No significant levels of CBD or CBN are found in Zkittlez, though the level of THC and presence of terpenes such as caryophyllene can aid in alleviating some medical symptoms.
Strain Effects
A Zkittlez high begins with a range of mind altering cerebral effects, with time feeling like it is slowing down while mild psychedelia enhances visual and auditory perception. A rush of euphoria is common ensuring spirits are raised and thoughts made light. The high develops gradually into a more indica like body stone, deeply relaxing and soothing until sleepiness begins to creep in after a few hours.
Growing info
With a growth pattern that reflects its indica heritage, Zkittlez seeds will develop into compact and relatively short plants around 100-180cm tall. Thriving both indoors and outside, as long as the weather is warm and dry, they wont make you wait long for their yields of 400-500g/m2 either with a flowering period of just 7-8 weeks.
Appearance and Aroma
The colours of a mature Zkittlez plant are almost as vivid as its flavours with indica style emerald leaves. From these sprout chunky oval shaped buds in a range of bright greens and deep rich purples. Entwined in flame like orange pistils, these stunning buds produce an intoxicating aroma that combines the sour zing of lemon and the natural sweetness of summer berries.
MSNL Editors Verdict
Just like the candy for which it was named, Zkittlez is sure to become a staple household item for many worldwide. The unbeatable combination of sativa highs, indica stones, and beauty in appearance, flavour and aroma make this one strain that is easy to recommend. Sweetest of all, this unprecedented flavour will provide even beginners with excellent yields in a flash.

When smoking Zkittlez you’ll be treated to a mesmerising array of sweet and sour fruit flavours, from tangy lemons to juicy berries. The intense yet pleasant sourness takes centre stage on the inhale, with an explosion of oranges, lemons and grapefruit. Upon exhaling the flavour is balanced by sweeter and more mellow notes of grapes and plums to create a candy like aftertaste that is nothing short of extraordinary.

"My old friend"
Review by Steveo
Zkittles from MNSL and I.... have an interesting relationship.
The good stuff first: Plant has an extremely good, almost sickly sweet ripe fruit smell and fruity complex flavor. For an indica strain this definitely has a sativa like high while retaining some notes of a deep indica stone. Can definitely give you that "racy" feeling of a good daytime smoker. Universally, people like this flavor and say it's their favorite. Beautiful colors in late flower of purple, deep purple possible in sugar leaves and on buds at colder temperatures. Dense, dense, almost rock hard sticky resinous buds. Really impressive. Very tight bud structure and you will want to keep those small sugar leaves caked with trichomes during the trim. Fast finisher, clocks out in flower at 56 to 60 days right on time. Almost gets a little "grassy" during the cure but this is just the characteristic of the bud and did not mean the flower was dried too fast.
The challenging stuff: On the phenos i've seen, this Plant has a hempy, woody, stringy growth habit with quite thin stems and a propensity to branch a lot, and often. If you are not careful training this plant you will whiddle away all of your yields and lose those coveted, THICK buds. Lots of pinching, lots of training is recommended. This plant can put out popcorn like few others if allowed to grow wild. Lots of trimming care, training support required to make the most of what the plant has to offer.
Also, this is not an easy grow for Hydroponics or DWC, so soil growers are probably good here. Definitely Susceptible to root rot in DWC and you can chase nutrient disorder symptoms until you discover this plant just hates getting its feet wet. Fan leaves very susceptible to nute burn during flower, on PPM 500 scale would never allow rez water to go above 1100 ppm or an EC of 2.2.
That being said, buy this beautiful plant! I have learned so much and the end result was worth it and this plant can be mastered easily in a good soil setup. Careful training, careful feeding, and lots of TLC are a requirement to achieve truly next level, elite results with this strain. Its not just hype, this one is a keeper!(Posted on 07/03/2021)
