Kush Mints strain info
Any strain originating out of the "Seed Junky Genetics" breeding room is worth diving into. This collective has a reputation for producing some of the most iconic strains of the past decade or so, with offerings including the likes of Jealousy, M.A.C, and Wedding Cake.
But many claim that the true belle of the Seed Junky ball has got to be Kush Mints. Birthed after crossing two outright firecrackers, Animal Mints with Bubba Kush, with the results truly speaking for themselves. A plus 25% THC potential, a nicely varied and punchy terpene profile, and some of the most fire-looking and tasting buds you're ever likely to see, it's fair to say that Kush Mints has got it all going on.
But enough preamble, let's chat about:

Kush Mints Smoke Review
With parents like Animal Mints and Bubba Kush, it should be pretty obvious that Kush Mints is going to smoke great. But after a three-month indoor grow, a ten-day controlled drying period, and a two-month cure, Kush Mints is kind of ridiculous.
Expect thick, creamy, minty fresh clouds. We found that anything under a three-week cure resulted in a little bit of harshness but give her some time and she responds like the champion she is. Winner of the "Respect My Region" 2021 Strain of the Year, beating out a field of over 250 strains that included some of the best homegrown Cali has to offer, there's no denying how good Kush Mints tastes and smokes.
The same is true when vaporized. We loaded up the Volcano for the first time in a month or two with just under a gram (from the main cola) and passed it around the office. Good lord. Super creeper when vaped, be warned.
What does Kush Mints taste like?
The initial burst of flavour is a minty kick mixed with the sour lemon, giving it a real mojito sort of vibe. Delicious is an understatement, especially as that mint flavour starts to mellow out and the creamy smoke fills with a sweet, herbal kushiness that really brings it back to the good old days.
The aroma does a great job of staying in line with the taste, but with an added kick thanks to the gassy, almost piney elements that shine through in the smell.
How does Kush Mints make you feel?
With a THC potential ranging from around 20% to 25%, combined with the almost perfect balance of both Indica and Sativa genetics, get ready for some powerful and enduring effects. How to grow Kush Mints strain
If you get everything dialed in perfect from the first week, you are going to love growing Kush Mints.
She prefers a moderate to cool 70-80°F (21-26°C) during the daytime or lights on period and around 10°F cooler at night. A sweet spot we found was a pretty consistent 74°F (23°C) for most of the grow, dropping to around 60-65°F (15-18°C) at night.
She also loves between 55% to 65% relative humidity (RH) from week one to the end of veg, dropping down to 45% to 50% from week one of flower until the end.
Outdoor growers will find she does just fine when the temperature rise above these ideal ranges, thanks to the versatility and hardiness of her genetics. But do try to keep her below 85°F (29°C).
We have run her outdoor in both soil and coco, and indoors in coco and full hydro. To be totally honest, Kush Mints does seem to slightly prefer coco over the rest, but that maybe due to a range of other factors, including the fact we love growing weed in coco, and think all new growers should think about trying it out.
Kush Mints also does great with some heavy-handed training. A perfect option to experiment on, especially if you haven't had an opportunity to try your hand at topping, lollipopping, and scrogging. We also found great results when outdoors when we just let her grow the nature intended, but we also defoliated and used some LST on another outdoor Kush Mints, and the yield did reflect this extra effort.
