Do Indicas make you sleepy?
Yes, Indica dominant strains definitely lean to the sleepy side of the scales. This is a pure generalization, though, as each strain will have its own unique effects and individual THC:CBD ratios.
With that said, Indica strains are generally known for their sedative effects, making them popular choices for people struggling with insomnia, sleep issues, or anyone just needing a long nap.
What are the best-growing conditions for Indica strains?
Again, it is very hard to make a sweeping statement that will cover every possible Indica strain. They all have different growth needs, but they do share some common requirements.
Indicas tend to be shorter and bushier than their Sativa cousins, so a little bit of plant training is kind of essential to open up the canopy. Using techniques like LST, topping, and SCroG nets can make a dramatic difference to the amount of light that can penetrate deep into the canopy and also the amount of air exchange between the dense foliage.
They also prefer slightly cooler and less humid conditions, around 70 to 78°F (21 to 26°C) and a humidity level of 45-55%.
