Here we are once again. Each passing year brings us new beginnings, new horizons, and (best of all) new strains! And, of course, we couldn't be more excited to welcome these new additions into our ever-growing collection of the absolute best cultivars known to man.
Last week, we went through all the strongest, most potent Sativa dominant strains in our current lineup, and so we thought it was high time we did the same for Indica's. Without further ado, let's dive in and take a closer look at our top picks for the strongest Indica strains available at MSNL!
Not all of these are newcomers, but there will be a few new names thrown into the mix, so even if you're a seasoned cannasseur, stick around and see what is getting us so high we want to shout about it from the rooftops (but can't because we are stuck to the proverbial couch).
Our highest THC Indica strains
Godfather OG
The Don, the OG, the Godfather. This strain has many names, but one thing remains consistent: its insanely high THC levels. Always over 25%, and sometimes tipping the 30% mark, this winner of the 2013 LA High Times Cannabis Cup has consistently remained in our top ten Indica list for over a decade now (and we can't see it leaving anytime soon).
Godfather OG is not just strong, she's also tasty as heck, easy to grow, and a huge yielding option that finishes quicker than almost all other strains. Grab a few seeds now and see why she's the list topper.

Kushberry Moonrocks
Here's our take on the famous Blackberry Moonrocks and a class leader in her own right - Kushberry Moonrocks! Purple deliciousness is the name of the game here, with bag appeal that knocks all other strains out of the park.
Boasting a THC content that typically exceeds 25% and has been known to hit 34%, she is simply one of the most potent Indica options ever produced. These plants offer the potential to yield more than a pound per plant outdoors and even more when the conditions are controlled indoors. It's hard to find any fault with Kushberry Moonrocks. Whether you're new to gardening or a seasoned green thumb, this cultivar offers a rewarding experience with every grow.

Permanent Marker
We promised new strains, and here is where we start to deliver!
Permanent Marker hit the North Cali dispensary shelves last year and has been rocking every single stoner lucky enough to enjoy her ever since. A rare strain and winner of last year's "Leafly Strain of the Year", Permanent Marker is a must-grow for all discerning Indica lovers.
Her high THC levels (32% plus), ridiculous 600 gr per square meter yields and unique flavour profile (think funky grapes crossed with gasoline) make this strain an absolute must-try for anyone seeking the strongest Indica experience. Permanent Marker offers an exquisite blend of taste and aroma, masterfully combining sweet and floral undertones with delightful hints of candy. This makes it an ideal choice for those who appreciate a sweet flavor profile, yet it remains pleasantly subtle, never overwhelming the senses.

White Runtz
The Runtz line took over the entire Indica recreational scene a few years back, and White Runtz is probably the best of the bunch (although that's certainly debatable). Either way, every top Indica list will have this one Runtz strain on it, and for good reason.
The 70/30 genetic split, heavier on the Indica side, obviously, means that White Runtz offers a very well-rounded high that is almost equal parts uplifting and relaxing. Things start out a little heady and cerebral, but within about 30 minutes, the Indica side kicks in, and you’re left with a super chilled-out body high.

Kush Mints
Peaking at between 25 to 28% THC, Kush Mints may not be as strong as Permanent Marker (or a few other options on this list), but that doesn't mean she's not more than worthy of her spot right here!
The high delivers a profound sense of relaxation like no other, with waves of joy and laughter and a sedation level like very few others can provide. If you’re looking for that strain that’ll, have you sat on your a** in minutes, Kush Mints is your girl.

London Pound Cake
London Pound Cake graced our catalogue for the first-time last year, but we had been hearing rumours floating out of the breeding room for a good few months prior that something big was coming - and something big it was.
Quickly becoming our best-selling Indica option, with 29% THC and a creamy, buttery vanilla base flavor that lingers like no one's business, we are expecting this strain to clean up during the up-coming awards season!

Animal Mints
One of the most stable offerings to ever come out of the US, Animal Mints is a cross between Fire OG x Animal Cookies x Thin Mint Cookies - all award winners and true bangers.
With THC levels hovering in the low 30%, a super quick flowering period (some phenos finishing in around seven weeks, and never longer than nine indoors), and beloved by medical users for her strong pain-relieving qualities, Animal Mints is a top pick for anyone seeking an Indica-dominant strain.

Grease Monkey
Any strain that has Gorilla Glue #4 as one side of the genetic split is going to be pretty strong, but when mixed with Exotic Genetix's Cookies and Cream, the result is something almost mind-blowingly amazing. Grease Monkey is a beast of a strain, producing ridiculously oversized buds jam packed with THC and terpene goodness!
THC levels linger around the 27 - 32% region, and the balanced effects offer a little something for everyone.

Biscotti
Crossing Gelato #25, Girl Scout Cookies, and South Florida OG was sure to produce something special, but even the breeding team behind Biscotti were blown away by the results. With the lopsided balance between 80% Indica and 20% Sativa, genetics offer a mostly sedative but slightly creative high, and the ridiculous resin producing makes this one an extract maker's wet dream.
Tasty as the day is long, stanky to a point, and delicious when packed into a bowl, paper, or blunt wrap, Biscotti is the perfect night-time or lazy Sunday afternoon strain. With THC levels hovering in the mid-twenties and yields that outpace many of her competitors, this one is a must-grow, no doubt about it.

Forbidden Fruit
Another one of our often sold out strains, and complete Indica-dominant monster, Forbidden Fruit is a cross between Cherry Pie x Tangie that tastes as good as it sounds. A pretty short queen, but hugely productive, with gorgeous red and purple hues and as loud of a strain as you have ever encountered.
Top-shelf THC levels (between 28 - 32%) and super happy vibes make for fun times, indeed. With the lopsided balance between 80% Indica and 20% Sativa, Forbidden Fruit offers a mostly sedative but slightly creative high, and the ridiculous resin producing makes this one an extract maker's wet-dream.is not just one of our best Indica's, but one of the best strains, period.

What are the effects of Indica strains?
Indica dominant strains, especially those with more than 70% Indica genetics, are all about that classic stoner high. Giggly, relaxing, and couch-lock-inducing, these strains are perfect for anyone looking to unwind after a long day or simply disconnect from the world.
They can also be great for managing pain, anxiety, and insomnia due to their sedative effects. Indica strains are typically characterized by their earthy or fruity flavours and aromas, making them a favourite among many cannabis enthusiasts.
What is the strongest Indica strain?
Right now, Permanent Marker is the THC Queen of the Indica scene.
But you need to remember that how you grow your high-THC Indica weed strains will have a huge impact on how much THC they are actually able to push out. All of these strains above will be strong, no matter what grow style you choose, but to get the most out of these incredible genetics, you need to make sure you are feeding them a serious diet.
Whether that's through high-quality soil or, even better, a hydroponic setup, you will need a strong light source and a good nutrient regimen to get the best possible results.
We usually suggest that newer growers try out coco-coir as their growing medium. It offers most of the advantages of soil and hydro, is super easy to work with, and is pretty hard to mess up as long as you're consistent with your feeding schedule.
What strain is 100% Indica?
In the modern weed scene, it's pretty rare to find 100% pure Indica strains, as most cultivars are bred to have a mix of both Sativa and Indica genetics. Hybrids rule the roost, and rightfully so, but if you are looking for a cultivar that will take you back a couple of decades, then it is very hard to go past Hindu Kush.
One of the original landrace strains, Hindu Kush, is known for its pure Indica effects, with a sedative and relaxing high that is perfect for evening or nighttime use. It also has a distinct earthy aroma, and if you look up the family tree of most newer-school Indica options, there's a good chance you'll find Hindu Kush somewhere in the mix. Give this one a try for the full Indica experience!
Do Indicas make you sleepy?
Yes, Indica dominant strains definitely lean to the sleepy side of the scales. This is a pure generalization, though, as each strain will have its own unique effects and individual THC:CBD ratios.
With that said, Indica strains are generally known for their sedative effects, making them popular choices for people struggling with insomnia, sleep issues, or anyone just needing a long nap.
What are the best-growing conditions for Indica strains?
Again, it is very hard to make a sweeping statement that will cover every possible Indica strain. They all have different growth needs, but they do share some common requirements.
Indicas tend to be shorter and bushier than their Sativa cousins, so a little bit of plant training is kind of essential to open up the canopy. Using techniques like LST, topping, and SCroG nets can make a dramatic difference to the amount of light that can penetrate deep into the canopy and also the amount of air exchange between the dense foliage.
They also prefer slightly cooler and less humid conditions, around 70 to 78°F (21 to 26°C) and a humidity level of 45-55%. A lot of the Indica genetics used in modern strains originate from the Hindu Kush mountains of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and India, where the climate is much drier and cooler than the Sativa neighbourhood.
Final thoughts
Indica strains are fun to grow, pretty easy to get right, and offer some of the best-looking buds thanks to their high density and huge resin output. And thanks to decades of hard work by breeders around the world, these strains now come in a huge range of flavors and effects, so there's always something new to try.
While the THC percentage in the strains recommended above do vary, all of them are really, really potent. You honestly can't go wrong with any of them, so grab a few seeds today, and get growing!
