How to grow Mimosa seeds

During The Vegetative Stage

During the veg stage, Mimosa begins to demonstrate Sativa leaning growth. During this stage, provide nutrients containing a good dose of nitrogen, this will aid chlorophyll production and build those strong branches and stems. Start with a smaller dose gradually building up and peaking during the mid-veg stage. It is during the early weeks of vegetative growth that you can start to implement training techniques to get the most out of the plant. Using techniques such as ScrOG will work wonders with Mimosa to improve light distribution and increase yield. To start with can gradually tie and bend the branches down as they grow using LST methods. Then use a scrog net fixed to the grow tent poles to keep the canopy of the plant roughly the same height. These methods can be introduced as soon as Mimosa is comfortably in its veg phase. By around weeks 6-7 your plants should be nearing 100-180cm tall with a robust foliage and solid structure. You should be able to see the positive effect that your training has had on the plant with a nice wide flat canopy and plenty of sites ready for buds to grow. Towards the end of the veg stage you can gradually taper off the nitrogen as the plant gears up for its flowering stage.

During The Flowering Stage

Now that Mimosa is in the flowering stage you can stop LST training and let Mimosa focus solely on those buds. You should have tapered back on the nitrogen, and now you can start to introduce a bigger dose of phosphorus to encourage bud development. Again, start with a small dose gradually building up towards the peak of the flowering stage and tapering off as you get close to flushing. During the flowering phase you will see Mimosa morphs into a more vibrant version of itself and at around weeks 2-3 you will start to see the preflowers developing. Within just a couple more weeks they will begin to form into orange-colored buds that become more and more dense as the plant grows. During the final weeks keep an eye on those buds and use the trichome color. When most of the trichomes turn milky white with some amber, it suggests that Mimosa is at its peak THC levels and ready for harvesting.

Is Mimosa Indica or Sativa?

Mimosa leans more towards Sativa and during the veg stage the plant grows tall with long leaves. It still shows signs of its Indica genetics though and you will see that by the end of the start of the flowering stage, the foliage becomes nice and dense.
