The first thing you will want to do is get your growing environment dialled right in. Permanent Marker needs a slightly warmer and wetter grow space during the early stages, especially in the first month. Try to keep those temps above 25 degrees C and the humidity around 60-70% if you can but be mindful of the fact that most phenos show a more Indica dominant growth pattern.

This means that you will need to start training early on and don't be afraid of being a little heavier-handed than you might be with other strains. Low-stress and high-stress techniques can both work well, but this is a great candidate for early topping (we recommend topping at least twice) and super cropping.

Once you have the main branches established, set up your ScrOG net and let her fill it out while manipulating the branches to open up the structure as much as possible. Once you decide that it's time to switch over to the flowering stage, treat your Permanent Marker plants like the queens they are about to turn into. Stop all heavy training at least a week before the flip and keep a little space open because this strain loves to stretch and spread in the first 10 days of flowering.

From here on in, it's all about giving her what she wants. Use top-quality nutrients and slowly reduce the humidity to around the 50% mark, and if you can, try to keep those temps a little lower too (around 22 degrees C is ideal). Around week 6, you will notice that she has reached peak calyx production and is well into the final stages of bud development. From here on in, keep a close eye on her and be ready to harvest when those trichomes are where you want them to be.

Is Permanent Marker Indica Or Sativa?
