Overview
Silver Haze Automatic was developed by crossing an unknown Kush ruderalis with the legendary Super Silver Haze. Considered one of the best sativas in the world, Super Silver Haze won three consecutive High Times Cannabis Cups, taking first place in 1997, 1998 and 1999. With Silver Haze Automatic, the aim was to take these award-winning genetics and create an autoflowering strain that even traditional growers would love.
The result is a sativa-leaning cross that lives up to its illustrious heritage. With enough indica in its genes to produce a high that’s both cerebral and bodily, this strain has won many admirers. It’s become popular in dispensaries across the west coast of America. And its easy-growing nature has made it accessible to enthusiasts worldwide.
Strain Effects
Silver Haze Automatic is fairly potent, with a THC content of around 15-18%. But its appeal goes beyond sheer strength. With a delightful mix of sativa and indica genes, it induces a smooth high that’s wonderfully well-rounded. The initial buzz is energizing and uplifting, often triggering creative and introspective thought. Many users to experience colors and sound more vividly. But while invigorating, this strain is not overwhelming. Its grounding indica genetics soothe the body and prevent the mind from wandering too far. The high becomes more mellow as it progresses, eventually transitioning to a relaxed state of euphoria.
Medicinally, Silver Haze Automatic’s suitability for daytime use gives it much versatility. It’s often used to treat conditions like stress, anxiety, chronic fatigue and depression. It’s also great at alleviating pain, including neuropathic pain and various types of inflammation.
Growing info
Silver Haze Automatic produces relatively small plants, reaching heights of around 60-100cm. Though this is relatively large for an auto, plants are still easy to manage. It grows well indoors and out and is fairly resistant to pests, diseases and mildew. Indoors, plants experience explosive growth when cultivated using the Sea of Green method. Outdoors, they thrive even in colder northern climates.
Yields of roughly 200-300g/m2 are decent for an autoflowering strain. Plants can be harvested in July and September if grown outdoors. Indoors, they’ll flower in just 8-10 weeks.
Appearance and Aroma
Silver Haze Automatic deserves plaudits for producing attractive plants. Plants frequently develop a colorful tint, with leaves and calyxes on the upper tips expressing vibrant indigo hues. Water leaves stretch out in beautiful shades of violet. Sugar leaves vary from grey and green pastel tones to delicate shades of pink. Buds are tight and compact with short, brass-colored pistils. A thick sheen of white trichomes covers the entire plant, giving it a fittingly silver glimmer.
It should be noted that plants produce a strong aroma. Skunky with slight hints of diesel during the vegetation phase, their scent is not easily masked. It’s a satisfying fragrance for cannabis lovers, but we recommend good ventilation when growing indoors.
MSNL Editors Verdict
Silver Haze Automatic is undoubtedly one of our favorite autos. It packs the potency, phenomenal flavor and delectable high of an award-winning photoperiod into a low-maintenance, easy-to-grow strain. Resilient enough to survive even the clumsiest newbie, and with an end product that will please the most experienced growers, this strain is pretty special. A must-try for all cannabis enthusiasts.

""For the Sativa lovers""
Review by Rob
A received some of these as free seeds and only recently tried them out. Fairly simple to grow, i used only quarter strength nutrient, but was rewarded with large plants which produce a big yield of solid sticky buds. I grew indoors, but would love to try this outdoors in the Aussie summer sun, i believe they would grow huge. Thanks Msnl, i have had many a surprise over the years now from free seed.

Review by 9planets
This plant was really nice. Smelled amazing before and after harvest. It LOVES organic nutrients but the plant I grew with 1/4 synthetic was burned bad but it survived and produced strong buds. Nice gas taste and makes VERY strong tinctures. I have started my second grow

"Give more time for growth"
Review by Kylie
I thought I was going to lose the crop because it was outside and took longer than I thought it would to grow. It ended up being fine, with harvest happening just before the first frost. And it was def worth the wait!

"Awesome strain"
Review by Grower#1
I have a long history with this company I have never been disappointed. if you can't make a choice on which auto to go with, pick this one and at the very least you won't be disappointed. No idea how it does in soil though.
