Make Your Own Cannabis-Infused Lubricant with our Easy Guide

Many people love smoking a bowl or sharing a joint and then making love. Even certain strains have been known to enhance the act. But what if you don’t smoke your weed first, but instead use it while you’re making love? It’s possible, when you make your own cannabis-infused lubricant. But, before you head into the kitchen to whip up your own big batch, there are a few things you should know about what it can do, and what it can’t.

First things first. No, spraying a cannabis-infused lubricant on your lady parts won’t get you high. So if you’re want to try a weed lube, but love being high during sex, you may still want to toke on that joint or bowl before applying the lubricant.

Secondly, it will make you super relaxed down there. When used as a topical ointment, or even lubricant, the marijuana plant has an incredible ability to completely relax the area. So while you won’t actually get high from it, you will still feel completely relaxed and that can help you have better orgasms.

Thirdly, yes, it works better for women. No one really knows why this is but as it turns out, after several studies, it’s been shown to be more effective for women than it is for men.

Next, in order for it to really work, it should be sprayed on about 15 minutes to one hour before it’s intended to be really used. Any topical or edible needs time in order to work, and the case is no different with weed lube.

Lastly, anyone using condoms as a form of birth control should not use cannabis-infused lubricant while also using condoms. It’s known that oil and latex do not get along so if this type of lubricant is used with condoms, there’s a good chance that the condom will break, rendering the birth control ineffective.

Easy recipe for a cannabis-infused lubricant

So now you know what cannabis-infused lubricant can do, and what it can’t. So for those still interested in spicing things up in this way, how do you get your hands on it? Even in areas where cannabis is legal, this kind of product can be hard to find. Luckily, it’s not difficult at all to make yourself.

Start with an oil that has a thicker consistency, such as coconut oil. The oil needs to be viscous so that it doesn’t simply run all over the place and is easier to apply. But it also needs to be able to be heated into a liquid form, so that the weed can be distributed throughout all of the oil. Place that into a slow cooker and turn it to low. Allow the oil to get warm and heat through.

While the oil is heating, grind up enough weed so that you have 3/4 cup. Place this onto a baking sheet and then place it into a preheated oven set at 170 degrees Fahrenheit. When the oven is preheated, place the weed into the oven and bake it at this low temperature for about 30 minutes. This will decarboxylate the weed so that the THC is more easily extracted from it, allowing it to be distributed throughout the oil more easily.

Also keep in mind that because you don’t have to worry about the harshness of the smoke, you can use all parts of the marijuana plant when making your lubricant. So feel free to throw in leaves and stems too!

When the marijuana has been decarboxylated, place it into the slow cooker along with the warmed oil. Then add about one tablespoon of liquid sunflower lecithin. This can be found in health food stores. When all of these ingredients have been added together, place the lid on the slow cooker and turn to low. Cook for about six hours, stirring regularly, until the THC has been evenly distributed throughout the oil.

Not sure if you’ve cooked it long enough? Take a bit of the oil out of the slow cooker, allow it to cool slightly, and then apply it to your skin. If you can start to feel it working, it’s likely cooked long enough to extract the THC. But, the longer you cook it, the more potent your cannabis-infused lubricant will be.

When you lubricant is cooked to your liking, turn the slow cooker off and allow it to cool slightly. Then, using a fine mesh strainer, strain out the larger pieces of cannabis and place your new lubricant in a jar or spray bottle. It will be ready for you whenever you need it!

So the next time you want to take your sexual activity up a notch, whip up a batch of this lubricant infused with cannabis and all the THC goodness it has to offer. You won’t be sorry you did.

I have to say at my age and physical condition my wife and I do not want (things down there) on my behalf to be super relaxed! Just the opposite, as tense and turgid as possible! I suppose that is the only place you would want high blood pressure too! But not to cheat my wife out of something that sounds like it would be a damn good thing for her, look out toys here we come!
Cool article, and a nice new twist just when you thought there was nothing more to try!
