Power Plant Fast Flowering was developed by crossbreeding the original Power Plant with a secret fast flowering hybrid. Its legendary parent has been winning accolades ever since its release in 1997, scooping multiple awards. Among the most notable are its appearances at the HighLife Cup, where it took 2nd Place in 2006 before coming First in both 2008 and 2009.
The aim in creating Power Plant Fast was to pack those award-winning genetics into a strain that’s easier to grow and flowers faster. The result is a wonderful hybrid with a genetic profile that’s 50-50 indica-sativa. This makes for a beautifully balanced high that touches both mind and body. Power Plant Fast is a strain worth every ounce of its impressive heritage.
Power Plant Fast Flowering is reasonably potent, with THC levels ranging from 13-18%. It may not be the strongest, but that doesn’t matter; this strain produces a delightful array of effects that complement each other perfectly. An initially cerebral buzz starts by lifting your mood and clearing the mind. Users will quickly feel energized, often experiencing mild surges of euphoria. Over time, its indica side becomes more apparent as waves of physical relaxation wash over you without inducing lethargy. This combination makes Power Plant Fast an ideal strain for socializing and being creative.
Therapeutically, its mood-elevating qualities are excellent for treating the symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. Its analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties are also great for combatting pain, and this strain is often used to alleviate the discomfort caused by migraines, arthritis, PMS, multiple sclerosis, chronic pain and fibromyalgia.
Power Plant Fast Flowering has a number of impressive traits. One of them is how well it grows. Plants thrive in almost any medium, growing strong and providing huge yields. They generally reach heights of around 100-180cm — a practical size for indoor cultivation. Dense branch structures make trimming essential, but this work is handsomely rewarded. Indoors, this strain flowers in just 6-8 weeks and produces massive yields of around 500-600g/m2. We recommend using the Sea of Green method to really help them blow up.
Power Plant Fast also grows well outside, preferring a Mediterranean climate and temperatures in the 70-80°F range. Give it the right conditions and prepare for a big harvest in October.
Power Plant Fast’s mixed genetics are apparent in its appearance. It’s not got the classic Christmas tree formation of its parent. And while fan leaves are long, slender and sativa-like, its dense foliage is more reminiscent of an indica. Buds grow in several clusters — and with the correct trimming, it’s possible to generate a couple of extra kolas.
Emerald-colored fan leaves contrast alongside spade-shaped, olive-colored buds. Sugar leaves protrude in even lighter shades, combining with a profusion of amber pistils to provide a splash of color. A splattering of white trichomes completes the look, giving the buds a crystalline sheen.
As plants grow, they develop a pungent, earthy aroma that can sometimes resemble damp. The fragrance becomes more pleasant as they flower, but we’d recommend good ventilation to anybody growing this strain indoors.
Power Plant Fast Flowering is a superbly well-balanced strain. With a buzz that simultaneously stimulates the mind and soothes the body, it’s perfect for socializing or engaging with your more artistic side. And it’s also a highly effective medical strain. That would be enough to sing its praises, but factor in Power Plant Fast’s massive yields and rapid flowering times, and this has the makings of something quite special.
Power Plant Fast Flowering gives off an undeniably earthy aroma. This is a pungent strain, and the odor intensifies as you break open the buds. The overall fragrance becomes more pleasant, as earthiness mingles with woody undertones, notes of sandalwood and pine coming to the fore.
This fragrance carries through to the taste. Upon inhalation, a spicy, pepper-like flavor lingers on the tongue. Earthiness returns on exhalation, finishing off a strong but smooth smoking experience.
